Lil Baby Releases "The Bigger Picture"

There have been a lot of songs released in the wake of the protests surrounding George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis police, but Atlanta rapper Lil Baby has dropped a new single with lyrics that address the issues of police violence against the black community with clear eyes, nuance and sensitivity. “All proceeds support the movement,” according to the press release and Lil Baby’s Instagram.

“Every colored person ain’t dumb/ And all Whites not racist/ I be judging by the mind and heart … “Corrupted police been the problem where I’m from/ But I would be lying if I said it was all of ‘em,” he raps.

“It’s bigger than Black and White It’s a problem with the whole way of life It can’t change overnight But we gotta start some where Might as well go ‘head, start here.”
