In a world where many are burdened by the weight of their past, MALU offers a musical remedy with her latestsingle, 'Heavy Baggage'. Created during a soul-searching trip to Los Angelesin June with producer Nick Pingree (Disney) and writer Angela Mukul (Angry Mob Music), the song serves as a metaphorical journey from carrying the heavy weight of emotional baggage to moving forward without it.

Behind the name ‘MALU’ isthe Danish-Corsican singer and songwriter Marie-Louise Pierini.
MALU fell in love with music from an early age, learned classical piano and grew up to sing in jazz-, disco- and soul orchestras. As a solo artist, MALU has become quite a phenomenon on the Copenhagen live scene,selling out every show she plays – and later this year,she will headline the legendary Vesterbro-venue, VEGA.
The single follows up on the widely acclaimed releases of ‘Small Talk’ and ‘Comfort Zone’, which premiered on Danish national radio P3 and P4 while gaining international coverage from more than 20 music blogs and media - including COLORS, Ones To Watch, Cusica and ENFNTS Terribles. ‘Heavy Baggage’ isreleased independently on October 27 with a music video shot by photographer Julie Montauk.
