This new release from the London-based dream-pop project is a great example of the expansive boundaries of the shoegaze/dream pop genres - and how they can be pushed. Layered up with harmonised dreamy guitars, swirling synths, a locked in rhythm section, and honeyed vocals with an incredibly catchy chorus and country-esque harmonies, this track is truly one of a kind. The band’s unique fusion of shoegaze and dream-pop, sprinkled with indie and electronic elements, offers a refreshing take on the shoegaze revival.

‘heroine’ was co-produced by Dominic Freeman and Ben Easton (deary), mixed by Ben Easton, and mastered by shoegaze veteran Simon Scott (Slowdive).

sadplanet’s debut single, “four days,” released on April 30, has already garnered significant attention. Produced by Dom Freeman/Ben Easton of deary and mastered by Simon Scott of Slowdive, the single received airplay on BBC Radio London’s BBC Introducing and has received positive coverage across the globe. Following this success, sadplanet has headlined several venues across London and is set to perform at a highly anticipated single release show on September 7 at Next Door Records Two, with shoegaze favourite Oliver Beardmore and Baby Vanga as supports.

‘Melodic and built at the same time, a classic shoegaze tune’ - Jess Iszatt (BBC Radio London)

‘A mix of spaced out guitar and keyboards and some superb vocals. Quite captivating’ - LOUD WOMEN

Capping off what hopes to be a stellar year, sadplanet are set to embark on their first UK tour in November, supporting deary on their UK headline tour in Bristol and Southampton and performing a series of dates across Northern England.

More music on the way soon...
