Top Ten TikTok Soundtracks

Thanks to dance videos, parodies, and some beautiful content, it won’t be farfetched to say Tiktok is the new Vine. That could be a bit of an overstatement but the fact that it’s the new rave cannot be underplayed. A lot of people are bored and unengaged looking for avenues to catch fun. Tiktok to the rescue!

Below is a list of the top ten curated favourite soundtracks on Tiktok.

Shakira – ‘Hips Don’t lie’

The year was 2005 and this song was a hit. The year is 2020 and the past found its way into the presence bringing rhapsodic feels along with it. Just like hips don’t lie, this song is evergreen.

Drake – Tossie Slide

From the ‘In My Feelings’ challenge to ‘Fliptheswitch’ change and now Tossie slide, Drizzy quite the trendsetter.

Giving us the satisfaction and summoning the inner Michael Jackson in lots of us, ‘Tossie Slide’ becomes the fastest music trend to reach a billion views on the app.

Pop Smoke – Dior

"I like the way you arrrrr". Smoke may be dead but this Pop vibe is eternal - constantly summoning our inner SImba.

The Weeknd – ‘Blinding Lights’

The second single of starboy’s fourth studio album has become the soundtrack to a very beautiful dancestep.

Megan Thee Stallion – Savage

I'm a savage; Classy, bougie, ratchet (yeah); Sassy, moody, nasty (hey, hey, yeah).

And so will you be once the vibe of this viral trend gets to you.

Wiz Khlaifa feat. Ty Dolla $ign – ‘Something New’

Bazzi – Myself

Losing your mind is a valid feeling with everything going on. This trend brings it back.

Drake – Nonstop

The opening verses of this song birthed the funny ‘Flip The Switch’ challenge. It requires two participants usually a male and a female flipping the switch of their attires: interchanging their clothes as the response to the lyrics.

Tory Lanez ft. Chris Brown – The Take

A highly sensual song by the quarantine radio commentator and Breezy keeps giving Tik tokers some steamy romantic vibes.

Dua Lipa - 'Don't Start Now'

Who else does a full 180 upon seeing someone we don’t want to us? That’s like almost everybody. Memers have been putting this song to great creative use.
