But Forest worked their way back into the game and substitutes Anthony Elanga and Taiwo Awoniyi combined to see the latter make it 2-1 late on and set up a nervy finish.
Jurrien Timber was also solid but only last 50 minutes as he limped off with an injury which will concern Mikel Arteta. Overall, Arsenal’s new signings played like they have been there for years and that is a great sign for Arteta moving forward. What’s next?
